Photo Tour: Disney Wonder

Photo Tour: Disney Wonder

Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Wonder was in San Diego to kick off the 2012-13 cruise season, and I managed to climb onboard to take some photos (read more about my visit here).

Time for a swim.

Disney Cruise Line’s  second ship to join the Disney fleet, entered service in 1999.

The large blown glass chandelier in the atrium lobby of Disney Wonder  spans three decks. The handcrafted sculpture was  created by Dale Chihuly to copmpliment the Wonder’s Art Nouveau design.

Goofin’ around just aft of the Mickey Pool

Dive in the water is warm.

Inspired by a 1942 Goofy cartoon short “How to Swim” be on the lookout for a mural of Goofy showing off his best diving form. But don’t dive into the Goofy pool, it is too shallow for sure.

Favorite Eateries on Disney Wonder

Uncorked: decanter in Palo ready to be filled.

Outlook Café on Disney Wonder is a 65-seat, 2,500-square-foot indoor lounge located on Deck 10, Forward just above Cove Café.

Adults-only coffee bar Outlook Café

Standing by…. Pinocchio’s Pizzeria, a quick service restaurant located on Deck 9, midship next to Goofy’s Pool. Kids of all ages will enjoy an outdoor pizza snack while basking by the pool. Other quick service restaurants include: Pluto’s Dog House (great chicken finers and fries) and Goofy’s Galley (great salads).

Ship-Shape

Harnessed in and keeping things ship-shape.

Reminiscent of the classic ocean liners, Disney Wonder  features two sleek and graceful funnels. While I visited, I got to see crew members hard at work repainting and cleaning.
