What’s buzzing in the cruise biz today? Making the daily social media news roundup: Silversea Cruises, Disney Cruise Line, Seabourn, Princess Cruises, Viking River Cruises and Holland America Line.
We have a lot to report on. For starters, Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic called on Halifax, the capital region of Nova Scotia today. This marks a first for the line and Disney Cruise Line is even using the #CanadaDisneyCruise hashtag to help followers keep up with the new itinerary.

Disney Magic will call at the Port of Halifax 9 times during the 2012 season. Family cruisers (and me) will have a great time exploring the New England coast as part during their five night sailing from New York City.
Also making some waves online in the social soup today was Silversea Cruises, who I did not know, had a Pinterest account.
Thanks to a tweet from the Silversea Cruises Twitter account (see below), I was able to check out one of its pinboards called The Joy of Small Ships. Silversea now has four boards: The Joy of Small Ships, Adventure Travel Gallery, Flavours of Italy, and Favourte Places & Spaces. As I mentioned before, Pinterest is a great tool for travelers to share inspiring photos of people, places, and things. I expect the Silversea Cruises pinboards to be full of great links to port information, ships reviews, and cruise tips.
