Social media steps for success

Social media is the new buzz word in marketing. A complete social media plan will have the following:
1. Blog
2. Twitter account
3. Facebook group and/or fan page
4. Website (optional if the blog is really good)

The basic ingredient of a social media plan is your brand’s mission. Content should revolve around the mission to reinforce the brand. Calls to action should be included. Content should be useful, relevant, engaging, and worth reading.

Sounds easy enough.  So why are so few travel agents embracing technology to build their businesses?  The travel bloggers are really good at pushing content and selling ad space to our traditional partners (co-op.)
