Shooz – great for travel

Recently I had an opportunity to check out a new concept in shoe design. I was attracted to the concept that people could have multiple shoe options without having to cary bulk items in their suitcases while traveling.

According to Shooz Kickstarter campaign, Shooz are the world’s first travel shoe that allow travelers to mix-and-match your favorite designs, customizing your shoes for any occasion. I was impressed by the quality workmanship and could see these shoes working very well on the ships.

Shooz are made of a “Skin” and a “Sole which are detachable and interchangeable and allow you to create a style that’s perfect for you and perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re traveling, biking, running, working or just going out for a night on the town, you can carry around your flat-packed skins and customize Shooz to fit any occasion. Just choose your style(s) of Skin and Sole, zip them together and get going!

Shooz modular technology allows for mixing-and-matching without sacrificing valuable suitcase space for travelers.

The inspiration behind Shooz

Edoardo Iannuzzi, founder and designer of Shooz explained the concept for me in greater detail. He said, “I’m a designer and I consult clients all over the world mainly for fashion products and branding. I travel very frequently and only with hand-luggage and I like to be always stylish and ready for business meetings but also for sport and leisure, which is why I created Shooz. I’ll wear a pair at my feet and bring my Shooz skins flat in my suitcase with each of them taking the space of a t-shirt, this way i can be ready for any occasion and yet travel light and compact.”
