Have the dog-days of Summer left you dreaming of a Fall cruise?

Now that Labor Day has passed that means that the ships will return to a sense of calm, now that school-aged cruise passengers are back in class. Below is a roundup of some of the cruises you may like to consider before the busy holiday season during the end of December.

Repositioning Cruises

“Sometimes the best escape doesn’t require a port of call.” – Celebrity Cruises

These popular one-way cruise itineraries offer passengers many days at sea while the ships move from their summer homes in Europe and Alaska to warmer climates in the Caribbean, Mexico, and exotic locations like South America and Australia/New Zealand.

When considering a repositioning cruise, make sure to remember that they can take up to 10 days to two weeks. In addition, repositioning cruises also have fewer stops at ports of call, which could mean higher shipboard spending to pass the time (spa, casino, specialty dinging, bingo, shopping?) An advantage of longer sea days means cruise passengers can really unwind and  enjoy the ship.

Cruise passengers wanting to experience the beauty of Canada and New England during the Fall, might be in luck finding space in the ships (call your travel agent to check availability).  Although these cruise itineraries are popular, so cruise passengers tend to book early, there might be availability.
