When I was at university there was much emphasis in my introductory biology class on evolution and the findings of Darwin heavily influenced the curriculum. When I found out that Quasar Expeditions was hosting a two Galapagos itineraries led by Steven Pinker and Richard Dawkins, I was quite impressed. In fact, I headed to YouTube and found a really nerdy science conversation where Richard Dawkins interviews Steven Pinker for “The Genius of Charles Darwin“, the Channel 4 UK TV program which won British Broadcasting Awards’ “Best Documentary Series” of 2008.

On this trip, passengers will get to observe the clear evolutionary path displayed by the vivid wildlife on these unspoiled islands. The tour highlights the archipelago’s most interesting habitants including the blue-footed boobies, Galapagos penguins, giant tortoises and flightless cormorants with narrative from two of today’s most important thinkers – a rare privilege.
