Port of Los Angeles welcomes record ships

Cruise Line Update
The Port of Los Angeles starts 2009 strong, with an average of two daily sailings and a total of 22 cruise ship calls at San Pedro in January as the Mexico and trans-Panama Canal Caribbean cruise seasons sail into high gear.

January Highlights:

  • Princess Cruises Sapphire Princess, Azamara cruises deluxe 694-passenger Journey and Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) Norwegian Star on Jan. 3;
  • Royal Caribbean International (RCI) Vision of the Seas on Jan. 4;
  • Princess Cruises Golden Princess on Jan.7;
  • NCL Norwegian Star and the Sapphire Princess on Jan. 10;
  • Seven Seas Cruises Voyager on Jan. 12 and 13;
  • Norwegian Star and Sapphire Princess on Jan. 17;
  • Holland America Cruise Lines Rotterdam on Jan. 19;
  • Coral Princess on Jan. 20
  • Golden Princess and Crystal Cruise Lines Crystal Serenity on Jan. 21;
  • Norwegian Star and Sapphire Princess on Jan. 24.
  • Jan. 27, Cunard’s new 990-stateroom Queen Victoria begins an 88-day world cruise from Los Angeles
  • Oceana Cruises premium 684-passenger Regatta arrives on Jan. 28
  • Norwegian Star and Sapphire Princess on Jan. 31.
