Photo tour: A Ship is Launched, Duchess of Cambridge names Royal Princess

Photo recap from Royal Princess Naming Ceremony

Under cloudy skies the naming ceremony alongside the Royal Princess’ berth in Southampton was the place to be for fans of Princess Cruises. For those viewers (like me), I got to watch from the front row (at my computer) from a the live feed that Princess Cruises provided for free  online at www.princess.com.

The Main Event

“I name this ship Royal Princess. May God bless her and all who sail in her.”

Wearing a stylish animal print Hobbs coat dress, the Duchess of Cambridge, who will serve as the ship’s “godmother”, cut the cord to a Nebuchadnezzar of Moet et Chandon champagne against the hull.
