Social media is all abuzz with the newest addition to the MSC Cruises fleet: MSC Preziosa joins her 12 siblings and will spend her time sailing the Western Mediterranean this season. Below are some of the highlights catching our attention.

 Christening Ceremony – March 23, 2013 in Genoa, Italy

 

MSC Preziosa is the  latest Fantasia-class cruise ship from MSC Cruises. Cruise guests will experience  “Italian Style” cruising designed to capture the Mediterranean way of life. For those not familiar with what that means, expect slow flood, water upon request in some of the dining venues, and lots of passion.

Aqua Park will host Vertigo Water Slide

Vertigo is a 393-foor  water slide that promises to be one wild ride.

 

Meet the Award-Winning EcoShip

On March 20, 2013, just days before the Christening, MSC Preziosa Earned  “7 Golden Pearls.” This prestigous award is awarded by the Bureau Veritas, which is a global leader in environmental risk analysis and certification.

The “7 Golden Pearls” award is a reflection of MSC Cruises’ commitment to safeguarding the marine ecosystem, as well as protecting the health and safety of its passengers and staff. It is one of the highest awards given to cruise vessels in recognition of specific voluntary attention given to design, building and operation in line with the organization’s “Quality Health Safety Environment” (QHSE) standards.  Congrats!
