ms Eurodam

The ms Eurodam is a beautiful ship. I have recently seen the most fantastic photos from our Holland America Line sales team. I can’t wait to relax in a private cabana. To send a friend the link to these photos click here http://picasaweb.google.com/cruisebuzz/Eurodam02#

The photos were taken in Europe at the inauguration of Holland America Line’s newest and in my opinion, most beautiful ship the ms Eurodam.

The naming ceremony took place on July 1st in Rotterdam with Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands officially dedicating the ship. Here are a few comments about the ship:

Spa Staterooms:

There is much buzz about the newest category which includes 56 luxury Spa Staterooms located on the top two levels of the ship in close proximity to The Greenhouse Spa. This category offers a unique array of amenities including organic cotton bathrobes and slippers, access to a no-host minibar stocked with specialty waters, a fresh cut-fruit tray at embarkation and a spa concierge to book treatments. The stateroom is equipped with an iPod docking station, a Yoga mat, Fitness DVD and a pedometer to use aboard the ship.

Other stateroom categories include the Superior Verandah Suites – category SS, SY, SZ. Extra spacious staterooms with large verandahs, dual sink vanity, full-size whirlpool tub & shower with an additional separate shower stall.

New Cabanas:

Enjoy your new found privacy in one of our eight new Lido Cabanas or the ocean air in the comfort of your own private sanctuary in one of the fourteen Cabanas at The Retreat. Attached is a list of amenities included in your Lido or Retreat Cabana rental along with the pricing options.

The Tamarind Restaurant:

Tamarind is our new Pan-Asian restaurant serving reservations-only lunch and dinner with a capacity of 144 guests. Lunch offers a complimentary menu featuring dim sum, an assortment of classic Asian dumplings and accompanying fusion sauces for dipping. Guests have a choice of ordering a variety of Asian-inspired cuisine off the menu for $15 per person or enjoying Rijsttafel for $20 per person. Developed in the Dutch colonial era, Rijsttafel is a Dutch adaptation of the traditional Indonesia dinner and is a selection of 12 Indonesian dishes served family style by all of our Indonesia service staff.

The Silk Den:

Located across from the Tamarind is my favorite new spot, The Silk Den. The Asia inspired décor is in a calming array of greens and purples with sweeping views over the Lido pool area and to the side, unobstructed sea views.
This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy one of the newly created martinis made with sake.

The Atrium

The Atrium Chandelier is an impressive piece of art whose flowers will change colors depending on the time of day; bright colors during the day and warmer colors in the evening.
