Holland America Line’s Signature Tulip

Because of social media, I learn something new everyday. Today, I was reviewing my cruise line Twitter list and noticed an interesting post from Holland America Line about a tulip.

The tulip was christened at Keukenhof Gardens in Holland to help celebrate the 140th Anniversary of the cruise line.  By the way, cruise visitors can visit the gardens when calling on Amsterdam (read our Port Buzz review here).

I have asked Holland America Line for some more details about the tulip, specifically I am interested in learning about how one goes about getting a tuplip named and what cruise visitors can expect in terms of seeing the species on the ships…. More to come.
