Summer Kick Off
Social Media + Travel Memorial Day kick off. Celebrating summer. Curated by Carrie from Cruise Buzz Media. It’s small ships and places near the sea.
The kickoff to summer travel is approaching. Where will you go?
It’s Memorial Day weekend and that means that the ships are ready to greet guests ready to explore Alaska and Europe. The weekend might mean BBQs and the smell of freedom for school-aged families, but it also means that people have a long weekend to enjoy the bounty of the season: hanging out, relaxing, going outside, visiting with friends and family. Inspired by the promise of summer and my upcoming journey on a Greek Isles cruise via Azamara, I decided to look around social media to see what’s buzzing from my cruise travel suppliers, blogger friends, and posts from the ports.
It looks like the theme is small ship cruising
Take a look at small ships if your summer plans include a cruise. A river cruise is a great option (although to be honest, if you don’t have one booked, there is probably not space) or think about a ship about the size of Paul Gauguin or Azamara – both are large enough to roam around with extra space for multiple bars, a gym, a pool, a spa, and a couple of restaurants.
The Great Outdoors
Getting off the beaten path and exploring outdoors is part of some people’s travel experience. Let’s see what social media and travel peeps have posted on the topic…
Scenic cruising is also an activity not to be missed. Celebrity Cruises’ posts a nice shot from Solstice.
