Disney Cruise Line offers Mexican Riviera cruise holidays

The West Coast is set for some very cool cruises with the addition of the Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Wonder set to homeport at the Port of Los Angeles in 2011.

The new Disney Wonder sailings could generate more than 250,000 guests passing through the Port of Los Angeles over a five-year period.  This will increase the number of family friendly cruise options offered from the Port of Los Angeles.

Disney Cruise Line has successfully tested the West Coast market with two summer seasons of Mexican Riviera itineraries from the Port of Los Angeles.  The Disney Magic cruise ship first called on the West Coast during the summer of 2005 as part of Disneyland’s 50th anniversary and returned again during the summer of 2008.

The Disney Wonder will offer 7-night Mexican Riviera cruises beginning on January 23, 2011.  There will be 12 sailings of the popular 7-night Mexican Riviera itineray before the Wonder makes her way to Alaska to begin the 2011 Alaska cruise season.   The Disney Wonder will then make her way back down the coast to Los Angeles where 7 night Mexican Riviera cruises will begin again on September 25th, 2011.
