Carnival Cruise Lines paid their condolences to the family and loved ones of astronaut Sally Ride.  Ride accomplished a lot in her career and holds the title as the first American woman in space in 1983. She also served as godmother of  Carnival Glory.

Crystal Cruises makes history as well, by offering guests some magic via the Magic Castle with a new, industry-first program entitled “Magic Castle at Sea.”   Magicians from Hollywood’s  private magicians’ club, the Magic Castle, will come aboard to entertain cruise passengers. >>> read more.

The top tweet of the day goes to Holland America Line for their announcement that Westerdam and Oosterdam have Gone Green. This is great news and to those not familiar with the story, Westerdam and Oosterdam have been retrofitted to use shore power at the Port of Seattle to reduce fuel consumption and emissions when in Seattle.
