Could the reason for Mona Lisa’s smile be because of Le Meurice?

Europe Express did a great job showing us some wonderful properties today. The hotel of the day award goes to Le Meurice.

For two centuries Le Meurice has graced 228 rue de Rivoli in Paris, France. This luxury hotel, conveniently close to Mona Lisa’s home at the Louvre is a work of art.

Those that are familiar with the property will enjoy the updates, which were implemented during the extensive two-year renovation, which completed in 2000. Le Meurice is restored to its original splendor as a classic French palace, and more than ever the Parisian pied à terre of the privileged. But don’t let that fool you because there are plenty of contemporary touches with a splash of whimsy throughout the public spaces.

The rooftop suite, La Belle Etoile, offer panoramic views of Paris. The rooms I viewed were expansive and very comfortable.

Le Meurice likes children and the children like Le Meurice

I would consider the three-bedroom suite, of course, 🙂 An interesting fact is that Le Meurice wants you to bring your children and let them enjoy too. The hotel is in the perfect location in Paris’s 1st district. The location makes it helpful for children to enjoy visits to the Jardin d’Acclimation, the Parc André Citroën, or even cruises on the Bateaux-Mouches. Children can also spend time on the Carousel in the Tuileries Garden. Maybe let nanny or arrange for a sitter and treat yourself to some shopping on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
