Motu Mahana, Tahaa in the Society Islands via Paul Gauguin
Discover Motu Mahana, Paul Gauguin Cruises private islet in the Tahaa, Society Islands. A day at the beach was never so luxurious and relaxing. Voted #1 Private-Island Experience by Cruise Buzz.
Yesterday after my third round of snorkeling off the clear waters of Motu Mahana, I decided that Paul Gauguin’s islet ranked #1 cruise line owned prvate beach.
Although the motu is not large, there was plenty of space for all guests to enjoy a a drink from the floating bar, dine on freshly grilled burgers, fish kabobs and assorted salads, swim, relax, and idle the day away. At one point, I was having so much fun I contemplated ways to be left behind by the ship.
Most cruise visitors that have been to Paul Gauguin’s motu rave about their time on the islet, I know why now. Tip: skip the shore excursion and spend all your time at Motu Mahana.
Enjoying a beachside barbeque on Paul Gauguin’s own private island of Motu Mahana is like waking up in a dream. The motu is uninhabited except for fellow guests, and those wonderful Les Gauguines who welcome all arriving guests with a song.
