Leave it to Crystal Cruises to utilize live video via social media superstar Facebook Live to showcase the christening of the new Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.   The private event was held at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Those in attendance and presiding over the christening included Chairman and Chief Executive of Genting Hong Kong Tan Sri Kok Thay Lim and Crystal CEO and president, Edie Rodriguez, and Crystal Skye’s godfather, Matthew D. Upchurch, chairman and CEO of Virtuoso.

Crystal Cruises streamed live from the Crystal Cruises’ Facebook page, inviting all interested parties to participate in the milestone. The live event kicks off a series of trade events designed to give travel agents, media, and VIPs a look at the new luxury experience called Crystal Skye Tours.

Crystal Skye is the world’s largest and most luxuriously spacious private jet for chartered global adventures. The aircraft becomes the newest member of the Crystal portfolio, which includes ocean cruises, river cruises, and now an aircraft.
