My family vacation kicks off at Newport Dunes

Family-friendly resort with a lot of activities to keep kids (and parents) happy. Located off the back bay of Newport Beach, this could be one of Southern California’s  “best kept secrets.”

 

Cruise ship of the day: SS Ar Dee Ar Ar.

I admit, this is not the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel (one of my favorite hotels in the OC), but it does have a small beach, a water park, boat rentals, a park, a restaurant, and camping facilities.
