The pricing on Regent Seven Seas has undergone a facelift. Although the pricing has not changed, Regent has changed the way they advertise pricing. The price in print is now exactly the price the guest will pay as it will include any airline imposed surcharges, airline fees and government taxes.
Regent made the decision to be more inclusive in their pricing and now apricing will include the Air Fuel Surcharge to advertised rates. It does not change the pricing at all that air/sea guests were paying.
The pricing looks higher but in fact, the fares have not changed; they are now advertised inclusive of any air surcharges, airline fees and government taxes. If a cruise fare was advertised at $3699 per guest and there were $300 additional fees and surcharges, the total came to $3999 per guest. The total price ($3999) is now the advertised price.
Travel agencies must start to advertise the new pricing structure so that consumers do not get confused. Marketing pieces must reflect the new prices.
