Princess Cruises renews lease in Santa Claritia

Princess Cruises renewed their lease in Santa Clarita, CA

One thing about cruise lines is that they tend to move around. So when I saw that  Princess Cruises has renewed the lease for its headquarters location in Valencia Town Center, I was thrilled.

I actually drove to headquarters once for a meeting at the Princess Cruises Public Relations office;  it was my first visit. Their offices, close to Magic Mountain theme park, are very corporate with plenty of touches to remind one that they are visiting a cruise line. A small scale mode ship was impressive as I recall.

Because the cruise line has agreed to lease approximately 270,000 square feet of office space in four buildings in the Town Center, Princess Cruises will remain based in Santa Clarita for at least the next 15 years. There is office space as well for Cunard Lines’ North America marketing and sales department.

The cruise line has been based in Santa Clarita since 2001, when it moved its long-time headquarters from Century City.

As a native Californian, I am glad that Princess Cruises will remain on the West Coast and continue to remind us of their contribution to the Port of Los Angeles.
