Crystal Serenity calls on Casablanca

Crystal Serenity docked today in Casablanca, Morocco. There were an assortment of tours available but I chose to take advantage of the free shuttle into town to walk around the markets. Since I was free to stroll at my own leisure, I spent the better part of the morning walking around the teak wood Promenade Deck before heading to the driving range onboard to hit some golf balls.

Since it seemed like fitness was the theme of the day for me, I also managed to go to the fitness center where I met with our Assistant Fitness Director Michael who schooled me on the kinesis machine. A trainer by trade, Michael’s knowledge was impressive about range of motion and bio-dynamics so I booked a thirty minute private assisted stretch class. The $50 session was great and I think that it is a wonderful option for people looking to keep on track with their physical therapy while on a cruise.

The markets in Casablanca were also energetic. It takes a walk around a neighborhood market to get a full appreciation for the different things for sale: fresh meat, flowers, spices, vegetables, and everything one could need from a department store.
