Lunch Cruise City Cruises London

City Tours London is a great way to explore the Thames, even in the middle of December, which is when I took a lunch cruise with my daughter.

Great food and must-see architecture.

Doing a river cruise down the Thames in London really gives you an awesome vantage point to see the sights of London.

MUST SEE SIGHTS

Big Ben, The London Eye, Tower Bridge and more. Take a sightseeing cruise  on the Thames to see views of London from the vantage point of the longest river in England.

LUNCH CRUISE

We boarded the boat near the Tower of London, which was convenient because we took the Tube from the hotel. A quick walk from the Underground and we were at the pier.

The staff greeted us and showed us to our table. We noticed another empty table by the window and asked if we could switch seats and we could.

The lunch cruise was a good choice for us because it brook up the otherwise physically demanding sightseeing tasks that made up my daughter’s first visit to London. Being able to sit down and relax while enjoying a nice meal with the back drop of the buildings along the riverbank was a great way to see a lot of sights. Plus the narration from the audio tour made sure that we did not miss any landmarks.

LUNCH CRUISE ON THE THAMES

City Cruises  (http://www.citycruises.com/)

Sophia and I enjoyed a two course lunch during our mini voyage through the heart of London on the Thames. Embarking by the Tower of London was like taking a step back in time as we imagined how it must have been during the old days when the river was the main transport hub of commerce.

The friendly staff was welcoming and although they could not control the weather, we were greeted by sunny smiles.  We lucked out and got a table for two by the window, which was the perfect place to see the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Big Ben (under construction), the London Eye,  and Canary Wharf.

The cruises took over an hour and a half,  which was more than enough time to take it all in.
