Value is in the eye of the beholder and what better time to treat yourself to some time away 

When I originally write this post I was a travel agency owner. Even though this post was originally published in 2009, The fact is that research still shows that people continue to value their vacation time and are looking for packages that give them more bang for their buck.

The cruise industry is making waves

Where else can one vacation really provide everything … multiple destinations, relaxation, adventure, family time, romantic nights at sea, included dining options, affordable shore excursions and more?

Why cruise – (don’t just take my word for it)

USA Today does a good job rounding up the top reasons to cruise on  a mega ship (click here for entire article). According to their article “cruise line megaships are taking the cruise world by storm. With never-before-seen activities and amenities (plus previously unheard of square footage), mega cruise ships have something onboard for everyone.”

As Tom from Tom’s Port Guides writes, “cruising is the best, easiest, and lowest stress way to see the world.  Choose a 4-5 star resort hotel (cruise ship) and sail to ports on continents and islands worldwide.   Everything you want or need is on the ship. Your cruise could be a short as 3 days or as long as you want. The possibilities are endless.”

As Doug Parker writes at Cruise Radio, “everything is all inclusive; You only have to unpack once; It’s impossible to get a DUI on a cruise ship” and he asks “where else can you walk out of your back door and basically spit in the ocean?” Read his entire list here.
