Cruise4Haiti gains momentum – fundraiser cruise for relief and hope

Rich Tucker will not stop until he reaches his goal:   24hours, 100 donors.

Yesterday,  Rich embarked on a 24-hour no-sleep tweet-a-thon, with the goal of tweeting his way to at least 100, $24 pledges from across cyberspace for Airline Ambassadors.   For 24 hours, Rich did not speak aloud and was only allowed to type out 140 character messages via Twitter (@cruisesource) to those following the endeavor.   To sweeten the deal, pledge participants are being entered in a drawing for a FREE international plane ticket and the chance to fly any continent in the world!

Now, Rich and his friends are continuing their goal to reach 100 donors for Airline Ambassadors – so you still have the chance to be the lucky winner!    All donors who make pledges of $24 or more will be entered into the drawing for the FREE international airline ticket.   To enter a pledge click here.

Cruise4Haiti update

In order to guarantee the $240 discount we are able to offer for this cruise DON’T WAIT TO REGISTER!

The only way to ensure that you will receive the discount is to register by August 12.  You may continue to register until August 31st, but prices are subject to change after 8/11/10.  Over the course of our trip, the ship will dock in Philipsburg, St Maarten, San Juan, Puerto Rico and Labadee, Haiti.   On our first two days at sea, our group will help make presents and cards and assemble packages for children in Haiti and Puerto Rico. In Labadee, Haiti participants will join For Haiti with Love, a partner NGO, in bringing food and medical goods for those in need as well as Christmas gifts for orphaned children affected by the earthquake.   In addition, our group will also enjoy a festive barbecue on the beach.   Royal Caribbean has offered to transport pallets of aid to Haiti, which volunteers will help send off from the Labadee site.

Art, Cocktails and Charity in Los Angeles

On Saturday, September 11 we are excited to invite all our members and supporters to an event at the beautiful Galerie Lakaye in Los Angeles.   The gallery features a number of esteemed Haitian artists and is owned by author and art curator Carine Fabius.   It will feature spoken word artist, poet and actor Roger Guenveur Smith, who has been in several Spike Lee movies, and co-starred with Denzel Washington and Russel Crow in American Gangster.   The event will last from 7:00pm – 10:00pm.

Any contribution will help to save lives!
