Cruise ship flowers – a sea of color

It always amazes me that cruise ships have the most amazing flowers.

If you think about it, cruise ships sail around the globe and are not the most likely candidates for running to the local flower market for fresh flowers. In fact, most cruise ships are in port for less than a day at the beginning of a cruise and during that time a lot gets done including provisioning the ship for an entire itinerary.

The majority of cruise lines employ a ship florist who is responsible for managing the inventory and designing arrangements for public spaces, special occasions and for display in cruise ship staterooms.
