In the next couple of weeks, you will have a chance to participate in the biggest cruise buzz of the year. There are five events that are not to be missed, especially if you are passionate about cruising or just curious about what this travel niche is up to.

1. Destination immersion via Azamara Club Cruises

The hot topic these days in cruising is all about destination immersion: more time in port, carefully thought-out itineraries with a focus on bringing local culture and history onboard through culinary connections, lectures, and entertainment.

On Friday I board a plane destined for Istanbul, Turkey. When I arrive in the city, I will embark Azamara Quest for a 9-day adventure for an in-depth exploration of the History of the Aegean. 2. Attend the inaugural festivities for Regal Princess

The 3,560-guest Regal Princess, which entered service in May of this year, is arriving in Ft. Lauderdale to begin her maiden season of Caribbean cruise vacations. Media and special guests will help welcome the ship in what is sure to be a super fun event – you can follow along via Twitter.

 

3. CruiseWorld is the place to be Nov 5-7

Travel industry suppliers, leaders and travel agents will be on hand in Fort Lauderdale for  Travel Weekly’s CruiseWorld show. CruiseWorld brings agents and suppliers together through pre-scheduled, one-on-one meetings as well as through networking events, educational workshops and the Exhibitor Showcase. 4. #TWchats live at CruiseWorld Nov 5 at 4pm to discuss What’s new in cruise

On Wednesday, Nov. 5, TWchats will be live from Travel Weekly’s annual CruiseWorld conference in Fort Lauderdale. Make sure to follow along to learn about what’s new in cruise. Last year this chat was very informative as participants tweeted about what was happening at the show from industry insiders.

5. #QuantumoftheSeas launch events in New York

As the next generation of the cruise vacation, Quantum cruising will change the way people enjoy vacations at sea.
