New York’s ship is on her way
Norwegian Breakaway floated out of building dock in Papenburg
Just in time for Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Breakaway’s Maiden voyage: April 30, 2013.
The largest cruise ship to ever be built in Germany floated out of the building where Meyer Werft designers and shipbuilders have been getting Norwegian Breakaway ready for her Transatlantic journey home in America.
Norwegian Breakaway has been under construction since September 2011. The 146,600-ton ship will have space for 4,000 passengers. Norwegian Breakaway is also the first ship to depart bow first. Norwegian Breakaway has an overall length of 324 meters, and is 39.70 meters wide.
