MSC Cruises joins the 2 million Facebook Fan Club

Congrats! I love a good social media moment and this is BIG news. Just think about it, getting over 2 million Facebook likes on a fan page is a big accomplishment. I have a Facebook page and believe me, it is hard enough for a one-person operation just to get to 500 likes. I could only imagine what 2 million likes must feel like.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Jan 24, 2014) – As part of the company’s fast-growing online and social media presence, MSC Cruises has announced that it has reached more than two million fans on Facebook around the world.

According to MSC Cruises Corporate Social Media Manager, David Arcifa, “This number represents a 100% increase in fans over a one-year period, and the engagement rate with the audience is also excellent.  We are now among the TOP10 Worldwide Travel Facebook Pages in terms of number of fans, indicating that we are successfully  engaging diverse online communities about the unique travel experience that cruising provides.”

More than 5,000 followers were reached on Instagram, a year after the creation of the company’s profile.
