Celebrity Cruises and Canyon Ranch Launch SpaClub At Sea Partnership Starting April, 2014
Say bye-bye to same-old-same-old
Will the new Canyon Ranch SpaClub at Sea help rejuvenate my attitude about cruise ship spas? The de-facto spa partner on the ships has been Steiner Leisure, who has highly trained staff who know how to do great treatments and sell lots of products. My take is that this move away from Steiner will benefit those Celebrity Cruises passengers who are discerning spa-goers
For 35 years Canyon Ranch has been helping wellness-seekers meet their goals and starting in April, passengers sailing on Celebrity Cruises will get to see what all the buzz is about. After all, Canyon Ranch SpaClubs are already installed on Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Cunard Line’s Queen Mary 2.
Canyon Ranch SpaClub at Sea experiences will include: SpaClub treatments and services tailored to the unique preferences of Celebrity’s guests, including new facial and body treatments, and unique yoga and meditation classes.
“It gives us great pleasure to offer our luxury spa experience to guests onboard Celebrity’s state-of the-art ships,” stated Peter Smith, Chief Operating Officer of Canyon Ranch. “Our approach to the wellness lifestyle perfectly complements that of Celebrity and we look forward to a long, prosperous relationship.”
The new, spa menu features popular Canyon Ranch treatments, such as facials and facial enhancements, massage, thermal, Asian touch, and Reiki healing energy therapies. In the salon cruise passengers can enjoy hair care, nail, and makeup services. Active cruise guests can choose from private consultations to group classes, including yoga, Pilates, cycling, Mind/Body Connection and relaxation – led by Canyon Ranch-trained fitness experts. Wellness programs such as personal exercise prescription, private nutritional consults, acupuncture, Chiropractic therapy and Canyon Ranch Healthy Feet™ centers will also be available on select ships. Additionally, Canyon Ranch health experts will provide onboard wellness lectures, workshops and cooking demonstrations.
Celebrity’s enhanced SpaClub at Sea program can be paired with the “AquaClass” accommodations to create the perfect spa getaway on a cruise ship. AquaClass guests can exclusively dine in the chic specialty restaurant, Blu, and enjoy unlimited access to the Persian Garden, a special location for spa lovers who want to relax on heated mosaic lounge chairs and grottos releasing a variety of dry heat, aromatherapy-infused steam and mists into the air.
