Azamara Club Cruises is different from their competitors. The Cruise Global, Eat Local program is one of the ways the boutique cruise line stands out. Every effort to help cruise visitors connect to the places their two ships visit is one of the reasons why I love to cruise on Azamara.  Cruise Global, Eat Local is one of the ways that Azamara’s guests can maximize their time in port experiencing life like a local.

More about Cruise Global, Eat Local

Trying to figure out where the hotspots are in a town is a daunting task, especially for cruise visitors in port for the day. Azamara’s Cruise Global, Eat Local program is designed for cruise foodies who want to explore and dine. The nice thing about choosing a Cruise Global, Eat Local tour is getting whisked away from the ship with a small group of people destined for a local eatery. When I toured, we took a walking tour off-the-beaten path before heading to a small tavern.

Azamara recently announced that Cruise Global, Eat Local will be available in select ports in Europe this summer. Cruise guests sailing in Europe can sample cuisine at one of the 35 restaurants the cruise line has hand-picked at 27 European ports including La Gomera, Canary Islands; Split, Croatia; Santorini, Greece; Sorrento, Italy; Barcelona, Spain and Marseille, France. Each destination offers an authentic local dining experience that will satisfy the most discerning of palates and provide an inside taste of the local culture.

I had a chance last year to test-drive the Cruise Global, Eat Local program and I loved it! Read about my adventures in Santorini (click here).
