Oceania Cruises culinary studio will offer a ship for food lovers, Oceania said it would have 10 dining venues, including six open-seating gourmet restaurants.
Cruise Holidays of Mission Viejo will take advantage of the culinary studio aboard Oceania Cruises new ship the 1,258-passenger Marina.
While larger than her consorts Regatta, Insignia and Nautica, Marina remains comfortably mid-size, adroitly utilizing the additional space for even greater amenities. She rewards guests with our signature “finest cuisine at sea” in six restaurants, including two new gourmet venues — Jacques and Red Ginger. Her new Yacht Club holds enlightening wine and food pairings. For special coffees and snacks, there is Biscottos Coffee Bar. The new Bon Appétit Culinary Center offers hands-on cooking instruction under the guidance of master chefs. Similarly, artists-in-residence teach fine arts in The Studio, a new enrichment center. Intimate lounges abound. Accommodations in every category are incredibly spacious, especially with regard to the lavish bathrooms.
A partnership with Bon Appetit magazine will enable the cruise line to ride the cruise industry trend to provide unique enrichment programs to guests. The culinary studio is set to debut in winter 2010.
The culinary studio will enable passengers to gain hands-on cooking experience at the side of master chefs. Passengers will have their own work stations, including individual induction cooktops. he ship’s culinary program will allow guests to cook side by side with a master chef. Cruise Holidays of Mission Viejo’s retired executive chef Ben Bajak is excited about the curriculum that that is designed in partnership between Oceania and Bon Appetit. ”Bringing the tools to the clients to be able to learn about regional dishes while cruising with professionals will give give cruisers an unforgettable experience, ” said Ben Bajak.
