Paul Gauguin Cruises sails around the areas of Tahiti, French Polynesia and the South Pacific. This luxury cruise line is amazing and will delight family cruisers ready to fly to Tahiti for a cruise of a lifetime. A family of marine lovers will take special note of the Ambassadors of the Environment Youth Program offered by Paul Gauguin Cruises.
The Ambassadors of the Environment youth program created by Jean-Michel Cousteau is for young people aged 9 to 19. The program introduces young travelers to the extraordinary natural wonders of French Polynesia. Young cruisers receive direct, hands-on, interactive experiences with knowledge of marine and island ecosystems. Young Ambassadors will explore coral reefs, hike rainforest trails and visit marae (ancient Polynesian temples). They’ll learn how black pearls and vanilla are cultivated, how volcanic islands become coral atolls, and how to paddle an outrigger canoe. Parents are encouraged to join children on eco-excursions and other activities aboard and ashore.
Jean-Michel Cousteau, environmental advocate and son of the legendary Jacques Cousteau, is dedicated to the preservation of our global oceans. His program inspires and educates people throughout the world to act responsibly for their protection, documenting the critical connection between humanity and nature, and celebrating the ocean’s vital importance to the survival of all life on our planet. This program is available on all Paul Gauguin cruises from June through August 2010 and on select holiday cruises for a nominal fee of $269 per child.
For those interested in a unique experience there is a special sailing with Jean-Michel Cousteau on the May 22, 2010 sailing to Fiji, Tonga, Cook and Society Islands As the special guest, he will offer a series of lectures with videos of his work in the world’s oceans, as well as accompany several dives from the ship.
This special program is a once in a lifetime family cruise dream. For any questions, please contact Cruise Buzz at Cruise Holidays of Mission Viejo 888-203-3012.

Karl Holz, President of Disney Cruise Line and New Vacation Operations, revealed the Disney Cruise Line’s exciting new ports of call for 2011 at the Storytellers theater during the morning session at the D23 Expo in Anaheim.
The crowd cheered when Holz took the stage. Holz, a very gregarious and likeable speaker outlined the Disney Cruise Line’s robust sailing schedule. Of special note, and an ice sculpture to match, was the unveiling of the Disney Wonder‘s 2011 Alaska itinerary. The Wonder will sail roundtrip from Vancouver starting on May 3, 2011. The four month run will end on August 30th, 2011.
Savvy cruisers will want to make reservations early despite the fact that the cruise does not sail until 2011. With a smaller ship like the Wonder, there are less cabins available than larger ships calling on ports in Alaska. Combine the smaller inventory of cabins with a short Alaska cruise season and consumers will see higher cruise fares. Waiting for a last minute deal might not pay off.
Avid cruisers know that Disney Cruise Line has an aggressive onboard sales kiosk. Happy passengers are more than willing to make deposits on future cruises while onboard. I predict that the Alaska cruise itineraries will be very popular and that they will sell out.
Our luxury cruise clients will want to start making plans for their multi-generational cruises now to ensure availability and to make reservations for the suites and larger cabins.

Families cruise together because cruises provide outstanding value for a family vacation, according to a recent survey by the Cruise Lines International Association.
Families that cruise also say a cruise vacation offers unique advantages over a comparably priced vacation on land.
Among the survey’s key findings:
Lots of families cruise. Of more than 1,000 households surveyed, nearly half have taken two to four cruises with children under the age of 18. More than 60 percent of families that cruise said they sometimes or always travel with an extended family group, including grandparents and/or grandchildren.
- The price is right. Overall, 73 percent said their last cruise cost the same as or less than a resort vacation. More than 83 percent said that they consider cruises to be a very good or extremely good value.
- Cruises have advantages. Cruising families had a lot to say about the advantages of cruise vacations, including: the opportunity to see multiple destinations; the all-inclusive nature of a cruise, with accommodations, meals, entertainment and shipboard activities included in one up-front price; the onboard kids’ programs and facilities; and the variety of onboard amenities and entertainment.
- Planning is easy. Almost 70 percent said planning a cruise is easier than planning a resort vacation. The survey respondents also noted that the stress-free atmosphere of a cruise allows families to spend quality time together.
More than 60 percent of respondents said they use the services of a travel professional at least on occasion to plan cruise vacations. More than 40 percent said they always work with a travel professional. These family cruisers know that travel professionals have the knowledge and expertise to help select a cruise that matches the interests and budgets of their families.
