Disney Magic Gets Some “Reimagineering”

Just Announced: More Magic Coming to the Disney Magic and Disney Cruise Line

It’s off to dry dock for Disney Cruise Lines’s Disney Magic.  The first ship in the fleet is going in for some  “reimagineering,” which is Diney-speak for refurbishment. The transformation will take place from Sept. 7 through Oct. 10, 2013.  This is good news for cruise passengers who will sail on the ship after the “reimagineering” sessions because those passengers will experience some major ugrades to enhance their experience, here is the punch-list:

  • Disney Magic will get a new water slide called the AquaDunk, which is a a translucent tube that will hang 20 feet over the side of the ship.
  • Young cruise passengers will enjoy spending time in the new Marvel’s Avengers Academy, marking the first time Super Heroes from the Marvel Universe have been introduced on a Disney Cruise Line ship.
  • The atrium is scheduled for a facelift (rendering below from Disney Cruise Line)
